Sore

. . . I clearly remember the little flowered bedding from when I was a child.

My mother had sewn it in the English, classic Liberty prints.

The quality was soft and delicious and I remember the many dreams under this duvet.

In the summer I ran and played with the other children in the garden in my favorite dress.

This one was sewn from the same beautiful print as the cushions on the sofa, where I tiredly fell in the evening....

These memories and the nostalgic Liberty Fabrics helped form the framework for Petite Legarth, and with the wide range of products you get the opportunity to create and pass on these pleasant memories yourself.

Liberty is most often associated with small floral patterns in fresh colors, but their range is much wider than that. Twice a year, a new textile collection is presented, which contains both classic reprints and completely new prints.

If you prefer slightly more muted colors - but still with a sea of beautiful prints, the beautiful William Morris textiles are a good choice, which you will also find in Petite Legarth's range.

The beautiful prints encourage you to use your imagination and play with colors and patterns. The selection at Petite Legarth has a timeless expression, and you can therefore advantageously mix prints and products from the different collections.

What do Liberty fabrics and William Morris have in common?

In 1875, Arthur Lasenby Liberty opened a shop on Regent Street in London. From here he sold imported textiles from Japan, China and India. Over time he became more and more successful and made collaborations with several top designers. They created patterns for him which were printed or woven in England and France. These patterns became known as Liberty designs. Today, Liberty of London is still located on Regent Street, and houses many international, well-known, luxury brands – everything in clothing, accessories and interiors.

One of their best known designers was William Morris and he has been responsible for many of the beautiful Liberty prints. He has designed classics such as "Strawberry thieves", and "Lodden" Petite Legarth offers a large selection of both Liberty fabrics William Morris textiles.

I have had "Petite Legarth" since 2011. Petite Legarth actually started as a blog where I showcased my various creative ideas. From time to time I sold some of the products I had made. but it was only when I started working in the beautiful and delicious Liberty prints that sales really took off, and after that the blog was quickly replaced with a webshop. For many years, the sales consisted mostly of children's clothes and children's interiors, which over time has become more and more the fabric sales, for which my heart beats so loudly. Today, the selection has expanded to also include other beautiful goods by the meter such as Morris and Co, as well as delicious organic single-spun cotton poplin, sewing accessories and lots of patterns, sewing instructions and DIYs. I love to surround myself with all the beautiful textiles, and enjoy handpicking the most beautiful ones prints for your creative projects now, and inspire you with what you can use them for. Welcome to.
